Why apply for Breast Lift: Improved Breast Contour – Enhanced Comfort – Increased Clothing Options – Boost in Self-Confidence
A breast Lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure aimed at raising and reshaping sagging breasts. Experienced plastic surgeon also correct the existing asymmetry or reduce areolas, removing excess skin, tightening the surrounding tissue, and possibly repositioning the nipple and areola to create a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing breast contour. You can also combine the breast lift procedure with breast augmentation, or breast implant replacement.
How is the Procedure Performed?
The specific technique used for a breast uplift can vary depending on the extent of lift needed and the individual’s anatomy. Common surgical approaches include:
- Periareolar lift: Also known as a “donut” lift, this technique is suitable for women with mild sagging. It involves a circular incision running around the edge of the areola.
- Vertical lift: Often referred to as a “lollipop” lift, this technique is for moderate sagging and involves an incision around the areola and down to the breast crease.
- Anchor lift: Suitable for significant sagging, this involves an incision around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and horizontally along the breast crease, resembling an anchor shape.
